Welcome to the Tennessee State Fair! Review

We recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Tennessee State Fair and attend their event. In exchange for my honest review, we received admission tickets and ride wristbands.

The very first ride they saw was of course the Alien Abduction. For those of you that don't know, this thing just spins around and around. My boys absolutely LOVE it! Me, no thanks!

Next they were off to the slides. They walked those LONG stairs MANY times just to zoom back down it! The one to the top left wasn't going as fast as he'd have liked. Notice the arms in the air?

Then off to the coaster. This thing looked really interesting! It basically just went into a fast circle and then you head very loud sirens, just when you thought it was stopping, it decided to take you back around it..... backwards!

Ummmm. No Thanks.

This ride here... CRAZY!

Unfortunately my one son didn't see it in action before he got on it. Needless to say he wasn't smiling for long! The other one that rode it LOVED it!

It took them for a series of spins up, around what seemed like upside down and more. I was dizzy just watching them!

No fair is complete without the animals! Loved the little bunnies! It was a pretty warm day so I didn't like the fact that they were in those cages with only a big fan blowing in. Some of those rabbits were very large and very furry and they were obviously miserable. I know many of them are like that at "home" as well but I don't have to see it. Probably wouldn't have been so bad if they were allowed loose in a play "area" that they couldn't escape from.

Another one of my favorite "attractions" was the booth dedicated to my local county fair. The home of Minnie Pearl, Centerville, TN. Down here, we're country ya'll. Our fair holds canning competitions and it just doesn't get anymore delicious than that! The next few pics are of the exhibit from my local fair at the State Fair.

Last but not least, the bumper cars. The rode these at least 15 times back to back!

Overall, we had a great time! My boys rode most of the rides and it wasn't overly crowded when we went. I look forward to going again next year with my family.

Thanks for a great 2013 fair!
